Reiki is the universal energy which helps to reinstate the balanced flow of energy in the body, supporting wellness and clarity of mind.

What is a Reiki treatment like?

During a Reiki treatment, the practitioner serves as a conduit of the universal Reiki energy, and will gently lay hands on or above specific points of the recipient's body. The touch is very light and administered over the clothing. Each position is held for 2 to 3 minutes over spots on the head, torso, arms, legs, and feet. It is also possible to have the Reiki practitioner lay hands directly upon a point of physical injury or pain.

Reiki can serve to reduce stress, increase relaxation, and relieve pain. Reiki supports optimal healing pre-and post-surgery, and reduces recuperation time significantly after surgery. It is also helpful for easing side effects of cancer treatments.

Reiki is never intended to replace conventional medical treatment, but it can often enhance such treatment and support wellness in ways traditional medicine cannot.

Excerpt from a client's note following his first Certified Crystal Healing and Reiki treatment:

I'm not quite sure what "happened" at my session but certainly feel it was beneficial. Very much so. I felt like my energy in the abdominal area was stronger and clearer when the session ended. There have been many times in recent years where I felt my gut area was almost caved in and bent over -- as if I can't stand up straight (even though my physical body is standing straight). I realize the metaphor there is fairly obvious and telling about the many blows I took on the job. While my IBS symptoms have improved a lot over the past year or so, I felt the healing session last week did something uniquely positive. I would not hesitate to do it again & certainly would return for a follow up in late October were I on Cape Cod. I will plan to look for a practitioner in the (area where I live).

It surprised me a bit, honestly. I was expecting a more traditional myofascial session as (my friends who referred me) described and may not have been too keen on a crystal healing/Reiki if I'd known in advance that would be the process. I have done Reiki before without much lasting benefit. I might have thought the crystal stuff it a bit too "woo woo" and not as dependable as a more hands on approach. Therapeutic Massage Table

How it works
This therapeutic table employs 3 colors of heated jade balls which move along the body from head to pelvis as you lie face up on the table. Running between the cervical vertebrae and coccygeal vertebrae, the heated jade balls affect points along either side of the spine that vary from person to person. It specifically works on the muscles on each side of the vertebrae.

What it does:

This is an electrically powered, motorized, heated therapy table intended to provide temporary relief of muscle and joint pain and stiffness by applying massage pressure from the vertical movements, and heat from the internal and external projectors.
Its effect is to provide muscle relaxation therapy by delivering heat and soothing massage.
